Trainer Profile:

A graphic designer with over 10 years experience and a BFA in Fine Arts. Johanna has worked for a variety of design companies as well as children's educational software companies in the lower mainland. Wearing a range of different hats from graphic designer, illustrator, production artist, junior programmer up to media lead, she has vast levels of experience and understanding of the different industries.

Starting up her own company VisualAlchemist in 2001, Johanna took on a whole new role of the entrepreneur. Learning what it takes to get a company out there, to network and bring in the business, while still having enough energy to be creative has been the biggest challenge for Johanna. While refining her business in 2002 to doing just custom-designed invitations, promotional material & stationary packages, Johanna also started teaching and mentoring seriously. With experience teaching on the job, at CDIS in Vancouver, and now Camosun College Continuing Education Department, Johanna is looking forward to more fun and challenges in this arena.
