Trainer Profile:

Karin Schafflik, owner of Kiya Counselling and Consulting Services, lives in Port Alberni, BC. Karin is a registered counsellor and has earned her Psychology degree from the University of Victoria. Her background is in clinical counselling, facilitating and training, life skills coaching, and community program development.

Karin has completed intensive Residential School Trauma Treatment Training for Counsellors and is one of the few individuals in BC who now specialize in Problem Gambling. She works as a counsellor, consultant, and trainer. Karin is passionate about her work and enjoys sharing her knowledge, practical skills and sense of humour while helping to build stronger, healthier communities.
