Trainer Profile:

Kristine Grass has been using computers since 1981 in a variety of office settings including the legal industry and post-secondary institutions. She has been helping students catch on to and catch up with computers since 1993. She brings 12 years of teaching experience from another field where she developed her unique facilitator technique. She has taught group classes at Community Education, School District No. 62 (at Royal Roads campus), Shoreline Community School in Victoria, and Edward Milne School in Sooke. She has also instructed at various large and small offices and at private homes in the Greater Victoria area and up-island as far as Duncan.

Mrs. Grass’ company, KG Computer Training Inc., was incorporated in 1997. She and her staff teach groups in classroom-type computer lab settings, as well as individuals in office environments, or at home. They offer customized lessons to meet specific needs for practical, real world results. Their trainers possess a wealth of professional experience, post-secondary qualifications and certifications and have a wide array of software knowledge.

The KG Computer Training motto is that using a computer is easier than it looks. Trainers use easily understood language and employ step-by-step teaching formats. Teaching techniques involve collaboration and facilitation with the student(s) based upon individual learning styles. New topics are not covered until concepts are completely understood. Advanced students are challenged with extra exercises and more advanced topics. Students achieve confidence early on and grow to explore and enjoy every aspect of modern computer use.

"I found every aspect of this course valuable but feel I especially gained confidence in using the computer. I was afraid to touch it at home!"
-- M. Eriksen

"I learned how to do things the proper way…Kristine came to my home and assisted me on my own PC!" -- M. Hitchin

“Kristine answered all my specific questions, more so than in a generalized class.” -- F. Weekes

"Very informative - enjoyed the class! I had no knowledge of Windows, etc., and feel very good about my knowledge now." -- M. Tubb
